The GDL has announced further strikes. Earlier, the Chairman of the Engineer’s Society Weselsky had announced that it would give you 100 hours of labor struggle. Whether that is now being implemented, however, is unclear.

The train drivers’ union GDL has announced recent strike at Deutsche Bahn. At the time and duration of the GDL chairman Claus Weselsky however made on Wednesday in Frankfurt no information. The GDL will the next walkout “give notice” and also announce its length. Prior to the decision of the GDL peak bodies for the resumption of strikes Weselsky had spoken of around 100 hours of labor struggle. This would be more than four days. The GDL had already called six times nationwide in the fall to strike. They met the trains sensitive, but not put him completely paralyzed.

Weselsky added that the railway had the chance to avert industrial action if they do not subscribe a position paper of the GDL. The state-owned company had previously rejected a signature to the document. So it did not meet a set of the GDL ultimatum. In the paper basic positions of the union are committed. But from the perspective of the web, it does not include the state of play, but maximum demands of the GDL. On Wednesday morning, the path of the GDL offered in writing to a top-level meeting, to jointly create a log of recent negotiations. It was no longer the GDL one.

“solution only negotiate and talk”

Weselsky train had been accused of play in the negotiations on time. The company had previously withdrawn acceptances in the most recent round on 11 February. The train drivers’ union calls for an independent collective agreements for those GDL members who are not drivers. These mainly include conductor and Lokrangierführer. In contrast, the railway rejects different tariff schemes for one and the same occupational group. The Railway and Transport union (ECG) wants to avoid divergent collective agreements within a profession. A web spokeswoman had rejected the accusation of delay tactics. “A solution is only by speaking, negotiate, negotiate and talk.”

The complicated labor dispute escalates was the first time in the fall. After two strikes in September followed based on a ballot until early November, four long strike. As a result, each of a large part of the train fell from all over Germany. Apart from the fundamental dispute over the occupational groups in this round of collective bargaining calls the GDL five percent more money, a shorter working week and a limiting overtime. The TOE requires six percent increase in income, but at least 150 euros per month. Track and ballast wanted to continue negotiations on Wednesday
