union GDL leaves duration and time. “Up to 109 hours’ possible
Frankfurt. Rail passengers in Germany must be set in the near future on a new train drivers’ strike. The union GDL declared the tariff discussions with Deutsche Bahn on Wednesday had failed and announced another walkout. It will be discussed as to when the work was laid down and for how long, said GDL chief Claus Weselsky in Frankfurt: “The information we will take time to the public.”
In the tariff negotiations, the State Group and the GDL had recently fought over a log of recent calls. The union requested from the web to sign the paper prepared by the GDL, and threatened otherwise with a 100-hour strike. The web rejected this demand and laid instead before a custom paper for further negotiations.
“The track has tried in recent weeks to reach a conclusion “Weselsky said. On the question of the possible duration of a strike, he said: “We have a decision of the Regional Labour Court Hesse, after a strike by 109Stunden would be proportionate.”
The collective discussions this time are particularly difficult since GDL and the Railway and Transport union (ECG) want to reach settlements partly for the same groups of employees.
