Athens (Reuters) – Greece wants to Tuesday morning at the latest on completion of negotiations on a third aid package.
Currently being worked flat out to clarify outstanding issues, a representative of the government in Athens said on Sunday, who declined to be named. “Target’s Monday night or Tuesday morning.” If the Greek parliament abstimme it go there a law with two articles – firstly, the aid package, on the other hand, the reforms that are a prerequisite for the disbursement of the first tranche.
The finance ministers of the euro zone will reside on Friday on the aid package, then the parliament must agree in several euro countries. Greece needed on August 20 fresh money if a loan from the European Central Bank is due for repayment.
The country is to receive up to 86 billion euros in the third aid package. Extensive cost-cutting measures and reforms to make the economy more competitive and redevelop the budget. However, the economy has slumped earlier in the year since the change of government, not least because the negotiations on further funds spiked for months.
