The Postbank is getting ready for the planned IPO. “We want to accelerate the expansion of the lending business,” said CEO Frank Strauss to the “Handelsblatt”. “Our goal is to achieve an increasingly balanced ratio of customer deposits and loans.”

The German Bank subsidiary has a lot more in deposits than it has awarded loans. “In terms of profitability, our goal is to earn our cost of capital as soon as possible,” added Strauss.

It could also re-jobs disappear. In the past seven years, Postbank has degraded more than 3000 bodies and around 200 branches of Postbank and Noris Bank closed. “Of course we will continue to adapt to the load, if that is necessary,” said Strauss. This should also be designed as previously socially acceptable.

The German bank had in late April decided to separate again by Postbank, preferably via an IPO. However, a sale did not rule out ostrich. “The German bank has clearly stated that it will consider any attractive offer to buy. For this purpose it is to their shareholders committed.”
