Berlin (Reuters) – escalate the months-long wage dispute with Deutsche Bahn threatened again.
The train drivers’ union GDL accused the track guidance, to have canceled the negotiations on Saturday evening and wanting not to communicate outside a dictated by herself conciliation procedure. In order for the state-owned company forfeits the chance of interim results and a subsequent conciliation said union chief Claus Weselsky on Sunday. The GDL draft collective agreement arbitration was neither negotiated nor appreciated accordingly. The GDL will now decide on further action.
Just a week ago, the GDL had ended the longest strike in the history of Deutsche Bahn, further work stoppages but not excluded. The collective discussions are therefore particularly difficult because the GDL and the larger Railway and Transport union (ECG) partly want to achieve financial statements for the same groups of workers. The aim of the web is for GDL and ECG members to conclude similar agreements.
