Cameron launches diplomatic offensive EU – THE WORLD

To launch a diplomatic offensive for a reform of the European Union, the British Prime Minister David Cameron President Jean-Claude Juncker and his criticism of the EU faced. “The discussions have focused on a reform of the EU and a renegotiation of the relations of the United Kingdom to her,” said a British government spokesman. Cameron had underlined, “that the British are not happy with the status quo and believe that the EU needs to change to reflect their concerns better.”

Cameron wants to hold after his election victory possible in the coming year a referendum on Britain’s remaining in the EU. Before cashing this campaign promise he wants to negotiate favorable changes for the UK with the EU. This involves, among other things, how to deal with immigrants and to the retransfer of powers to London .
