Berlin – has the Verdi services union under certain conditions for the resumption of talks in the social and educational services agreed.

To date, the association of local employers have (VKA) only made non-binding proposals that might be taken off the table during the negotiations and also relate only to a few professions, said Verdi spokesman Christoph Schmitz Düsseldorf “Rheinische Post”. “If the MCA makes a genuine offer, the indefinite strike could be suspended within days period.”

The nationwide indefinite strike of teachers and social workers is on this Tuesday in its third day. One end is not yet in sight.

Thousands kindergartens remained closed to the unions on Monday, generates 40 000 people took part in the industrial action. Tens of thousands of families had to accommodate their children elsewhere. The employers consider this demand for better classification of educators for not affordable.
