Bayern brings the dispute over the planned power lines a new variant of the game – with massive consequences for Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. Ilse Aigner (CSU), the Economics Minister of the State would, postpone the planned DC path for the so-called Suedlink westward, reports the Rundschau of Bavarian television. In order for the route instead of Bavaria would lead mainly by Baden-Württemberg and Hesse.
In short, the Agency plans to submit its plans for the future German power grid. About the network expansion will be decided before the summer break in Berlin. Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU also), as well as numerous citizens’ initiatives in Bavaria and Hesse, bracing themselves against Suedlink. The line is to bring wind power from the sea to the south, until 2022 when the last nuclear reactors are shut down.Hesse Economics Minister Tarek Al-Wazir (Green) said on Saturday at the Aigner-thrust, his country would be “the insolence of Munich not put up with”. The proposal was “not to have audacity” and go to the expense of others. Suedlink would then end up only in the final meters in Bavaria.
The BR relies on an opinion of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs on a draft of the Federal Network Agency. Aigner argue the fact the Lower Franconia region should not be the “national electricity hub”.
In its opinion, it threatens thus indirectly to a blockade of the network expansion plans. Aigner bring conservation arguments into play, as well as a change in the Bavarian state development plan.
