Fulda (AP) – Four weeks have daycare workers nationwide strike for more money. Now threatens a new labor dispute. The affected members of the trade unions Verdi and GEW have rejected the arbitration proposal by a large majority. In both unions, the decision, however, with almost 70 percent each fell significantly. The arbitration proposal provides 2 to 4.5 percent before more money for educators and social workers. A decision on new strikes could fall at a meeting of the Federal Tariff Commission in Frankfurt on Tuesday.
