14 years in prison for masterminding the Libor scandal – THE WORLD

The former investment banker Tom Hayes is spoken in London as the main suspect in the Libor scandal because of interest rate manipulation guilty been. The now 36-year-old is said to have influenced in the years 2006 to 2010 as the star investment banker of Swiss bank UBS important reference interest rate massively. He had the allegations initially granted, but then denied again before a London court. The jury at Southwark Crown Court evaluated the police interrogation as credible. She looked pure greed as a motive. The Libor interest rate governs the cost at which banks borrow money. It is based around real estate loans. Hayes, who also worked at Citigroup after UBS, is the first of many suspects in the Libor scandal, who was condemned.
