From a secretary she rose to become one of the richest women in the world. The US business magazine “Forbes” leads with an estimated fortune of 11.8 billion dollars (10.85 billion euros) ranked 77 in the list of richest people in the world. Accordingly, she was the richest woman in Germany – after her daughter Susanne. Johanna Quandt was also involved non-profit. So she encouraged young journalists. Expression of this commitment was the foundation of the Herbert Quandt Media Prize.
