The fast-food company Burger King has reached agreement with its largest German licensee on the continued operation of 84 threatened stores. As Burger King announced in Munich on Tuesday, the entrepreneur Alexander Kolobov receives through his company Castle Burger GmbH (SBG) the necessary license for the restaurants.

                         
         
         
                                                             
                                 

The agreement was preceded by weeks of negotiations and a scandal over working conditions and the sanitary conditions in the stores. Burger King had terminated without notice in November 2014. Reports on the hygiene shortcomings trading under the name at that time under the name Yi Ko licensees for 89 branches. Yi Ko stood for Ergün Yildiz and Alexander Kolobov. They had then adopted in May 2013 as equal partners 91 Burger King stores, including several each in Munich, Cologne, Essen and Oberhausen.
