A complete CV is what probably everyone working towards in his career. It is not even necessary. A Star-Professor of England has now published his CV – and is far from perfect
Johannes Haushofer is professor of psychology at the prestigious Princeton University. in the State of New jersey. His resume is impressive: numerous awards, prizes, titles and honors decorate his handsome Curriculum Vitae. But now he has published a second CV, directly under his “serious” CV on his website.
CV of failure
And that is not as impressive as the one that lists all his triumphs far. In that “resume of failure”, as he calls himself, instead, the jobs are listed that Haushofer did not get. He also leads to all prices, for although he was nominated, but where he went empty. The grants, for which he applied in his career that he has not received, are nachlesbar. After two full pages, the professor so filled
.
failure is not provided
his intention here is simple: Haushofer wanted his little show other resume that not everything he touched in his career, immediately turned to gold , He also knows the failure. “Most of what I start, fails,” the professor writes on his website.
The event with the “resume of failure”, however, was a complete success – at least Haushofer has thus reached many people: “This damn CV scored significantly more attention than my entire scientific work,” he writes.
praise for the good idea not want Haushofer but einheimsen alone. He always stressed that the idea of this form of complete academic transparency is not from him but from the lecturer Melanie Stefan, who works at the University of Edinburgh.
