The Civil Service Association has Deutsche Bahn with “one of the worst industrial disputes of all time” threatened. The Group had the German train drivers union submit (GDL) to 17 December an offer “without preconditions,” said the deputy chairman of the Federation officials, Willi Russ, the Süddeutsche Zeitung . “Compared to what will be awaiting us at the track, all previous was just kid stuff.”
The statements of soot are of importance because of the Civil Service Association is the umbrella organization that belongs to the GDL. It manages the strike fund from which the engineer finance their labor disputes. Russ said future strikes would not fail because of money. “The strike rhetoric demands increase.” After the Federal Cabinet adopted the Law on the bargaining unit on Thursday, small but powerful professional unions feel threatened in their existence. They fear to be able to negotiate and erstreiken no collective agreements in the future. “The welded all unions in the Civil Service Association together,” says Russ, “because no wobbles a millimeter.”
The GDL had announced to refrain until 11 January to strike. When asked whether the union train customers in the future could not spare a little more, Russ initially responded: “When drivers and train attendants strike, they inevitably meet the customers.” He was then but open for consideration to refrain from strikes in transport – there exists a large portion of the revenue from prepaid monthly tickets, so the strike would meet less than the web clients. “Okay. Participating I times with and give ‘the more,” Russ said.
