The American Disney Group releases two new cruise ships at the Meyer Werft in Papenburg build.

the two luxury liners are to be completed in 2021 and 2023, said a shipyard spokesman on Thursday. An agreement had been signed. The vessels are each 135 000 gross tons in size and are said to have around 1,250 guest cabins. The charges kept Meyer and Disney silence. The Meyer Werft has already built two cruise ships for the US entertainment group. In 2010, the “Disney Dream” left the shipyard in Emsland and a year later the “Disney Fantasy”. The shipping of the Disney Group, Disney Cruise Line, speaks especially families as customers.

The corporate group at Meyer Werft include the Neptun Werft in Rostock and the shipyard in Turku, Finland. The order books of all shipbuilding sites are fully in the next few years. The decision of the management to relocate its corporate headquarters to Luxembourg to avoid the establishment of a supervisory board had made last summer for criticism. In Papenburg, the company claims to have 3,300 people.
