Win a break: German Railways have to rebuild Group – Berliner Morgenpost


                 Berlin. A profit slump is forcing the German Railways to a radical restructuring of the Group. Deutsche Bahn CEO Rüdiger Grube led back to the significant decline in earnings in the first half mainly due to the train driver strikes and several storms. “We have moved weeks behind us,” Grube said on Tuesday. Given the continuing weak earnings and the problems in several business areas of Deutsche Bahn CEO had announced a Group reorganization as early as Monday. The aim is to make the state-owned enterprises more efficient, more competitive and more profitable. The train did not rule out job cuts.
