Nearly half a year after the first plans for a low-cost terminal at the new Capital Airport operators have to build now advertised. “The Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH intends in the field of Piers North a new terminal with a total transferee (TÜ) plan and to erect,” says the document published on 20 February.
Intended is the severance of eight million passengers a year, it said in the announcement. From this it concludes a necessary gross floor area of 45 000 square meters. “Commissioning is provided 2019.”
The Supervisory Board had decided the additional terminal already on 25 September 2015; Even then there was talk of investment of 200 million euros in the Tagesspiegel.
