The French economist Thomas Piketty has in protest against the government of President François Hollande’s nomination for the Legion of Honor, the highest award of the country, rejected. “I do not think it falls to the government to decide who is to honor” the author of the much-discussed book said “Capital in the 21st Century”. “They should instead focus on boosting growth in France and Europe.”
