The Lufthansa and other major airlines have agreed with each other for years, how much they charge for cargo flights. Now come receivables of approximately three billion euros to the airlines. An action for damages in the DB before the Landgericht Köln conditions have now “several other large companies” connected, said a railway spokesman. Together two billion euros in damages and would require 900 million euro interest rates. What companies are now all among the plaintiffs did not say the railway spokesman.

The airlines that now claims for damages made against had discussed the conditions for cargo flights, according to the European Commission, between December 1999 and February of 2006. They agreed bilaterally and multilaterally its approach to fuel and security surcharges, for which no discounts were given.

The price agreements had flown about seven years ago already and had pulled in many countries penalties of competition authorities after themselves. Thus, the EU imposed in 2010 sentenced to a total of approximately 800 million euros. In the US, the fines totaled about 1.5 billion dollars. The Lufthansa came as a “star witness” as it is, so far to payments around. The German airline had shown itself time and contributed to the elucidation of the cartel formation.

The German train looks through the collusion its transport subsidiary Schenker damaged. The Company submitted therefore in December 2014 in Cologne lawsuit against a ten airlines, including Lufthansa, Air Canada, British Airways, Japan Airlines and Qantas. Of them, the Group requires around 1.2 billion euros in damages, plus 560 million euros interest.
