The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is conducted in the future by Christine Lagarde. The Fund confirmed Friday the second term its Executive Director.

“With this decision the board has the strong and wise leadership of Ms. Lagarde acknowledged in their first term,” said the head of the committee Alexei Mozin. In turbulent times Lagarde has strengthened the IMF’s membership. Lagarde had warned recently especially before a premature tightening of interest rate policy in the US. This could bring emerging and developing countries in difficulties.
Christine Lagarde has become as IMF director to one of the key figures in the euro crisis. Because the fund has also made some Member States as a condition for aid loans strict conditions, their person applies in some countries as a red flag. Recently there had been in rebellion against Greece Lagarde because the IMF has there made pension reform a condition for financial assistance. Many Greeks fear being cheated by their contributions paid.
“I am looking forward to continue to serve the members and in the period ahead our important mission to carry on,” Lagarde said. The French also had the support of the federal government in its candidacy.
