For three years in prison ex Arcandor CEO Thomas Middelhoff was convicted of tax evasion. Now his lawyers have filed a complaint against the detention.
The lawyers of Thomas Middelhoff have custody complaint filed against the detention of former top manager. This was announced by a spokesman of the Essen District Court on Tuesday. In order for the arrest warrant for 61-year-olds the Oberlandesgericht Hamm would be submitted for consideration when the Essenes judges base their decision at the last moment revised.
judgment is not yet final
The Essen district court had sentenced the former head of the now bankrupt previous Karstadt’s parent company Arcandor on November 14, embezzlement and tax evasion to three years in prison.
The judgment against Middelhoff, who always denied the allegations, is not yet final. The court had issued an arrest warrant against the manager because of risk of flight.
