Not only VW must answer in the United States before the court because of the exhaust manipulation of Diesel vehicles. Bosch is also in the sights of investigators. The suppliers agreed upon a comparison with civil plaintiffs.
Bosch has achieved in the exhaust gas scandal with civil plaintiffs, a settlement agreement in the United States. The agreement concerns a 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre vehicles of the brands Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche, with shares of the auto supplier. Bosch will pay in 327,5 million US dollars (around 304 million euros). District judge Charles R. Breyer has to sign off on the comparison. A final agreement was in the beginning of may.

With the settlement agreement, the company will recognize neither of the plaintiffs facts as presented, even a Bosch fault. Bosch had already cost in the year 2015, a total of EUR 650 million for various rights.
Stuttgart have developed components of the motor electronics of the affected VW vehicles and should have known the allegations at an early stage of the manipulations. The agreement would include the information that “the vast majority” of the civil proceedings against the company in the United States. The decision to close the comparison, be like “after careful consideration of all points of view”, said Bosch CEO Volkmar Denner said.
