Once again, the collective talks between German railway and the German train drivers union (GDL) have failed. It all seemed well on its way. The point committees of the GDL want to decide on 18 February on how to proceed. GDL chief Claus Weselsky made after the breakdown of negotiations in Berlin clearly: “The probability of labor disputes has increased enormously with the present day.”

Weselsky explains the decision to burst the calls so that the Group’s insistence, a collective bargaining agreement with the GDL must be identical to the result, which will provide the web with the competing Railway and Transport union (ECG). “We will not let that happen. We are a free collective Party which has no dependence on others,” Weselsky revolted.
Weber is dismayed
Railway -Personalvorstand Ulrich Weber was completely surprised by the off after nine hours of negotiations. “We were on the verge of a breakthrough and an agreement on a basic structure for regional collective agreement. And then denied the GDL is baseless,” he complained. This behavior is completely incomprehensible and “not rationally comprehensible.”
