Lufthansa and pilots put talks next week continues – Aero.de

FRANKFURT – Lufthansa and the pilots’ union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) enter at the talks on a new start for collective bargaining once more time. Both sides had clearly approached, the VC said on Saturday. For years, Lufthansa is struggling with the cockpit to tariff regulations.

“Because of the high complexity and the scope it is still, in spite of extension, not yet been able to reach an agreement on all points.” Earlier this week, should be now on talking. The exact date is not called the VC, no later than Tuesday, but they wanted to sit together again, a spokesman said.

Originally both side had a deadline until Friday to determine the conditions for the resumption of collective bargaining. Even that was an extension of time. To the content of the talks wanted neither the airline nor the union take a position.

The wage dispute between Lufthansa and VC had escalated in late 2013, as the Lufthansa announced the arrangements for transitional care for the pilots. The pilots had 13 times temporarily stopped work until late summer last year.

The last time being pilot strike at Lufthansa was canceled after a ruling from the Landesarbeitsgericht Hessen on September 9. The court ruled at the time, the union was pursuing its strike also targets that could be not achieved when negotiating collective agreements.
