Germany’s exports have reached a record high last year. The company introduced from 2015, goods worth nearly 1.2 billion euros, the Federal Statistics Office in Wiesbaden announced after preliminary calculations. This was 6.4 percent more than last year.
Imports, and the trade surplus reached accordingly set new records. Introduced were goods worth of 948 billion euros, an increase of 4.2 percent the previous year. The foreign trade balance, according to statistics with the highest ever surplus of 247.8 billion euros. The previous record was in 2014 at 213.6 billion euros.
Most goods from Germany went to countries of the European Union, namely the value of almost 694 Billion euro. This was 7.0 percent more than last year. In countries outside the EU, German companies led according to statistics, goods worth nearly 502 billion euros of which was an increase of 5.6 percent.
USA
Since 1961, France was continuously the most important export customer of the German economy – the United States have this era now ended. Exports to the world’s largest economy attracted by about a fifth to more than 105 billion euros. One reason is the robust growth there, another of the weak euro. He makes German goods in the US cheaper and pushes the sales to.
India
the big emerging 2015 grown economically faster than neighboring China. This pays off for the German companies: Their exports to India grew by around ten percent. However, the turnover is still modest with more than nine billion euros. By comparison, sales to China is so great about seven times. Experts therefore see much room for improvement.
UK
the United Kingdom is one of the fastest growing industrial countries. That leaves the coffers of the German company ringing, attracted their exports to the island by around 14 percent to more than 83 billion euros. The weak euro also provides here for an extra boost.
Euro states
After years of crisis, the business with the euro countries gains momentum. Exports to the 18 States climbed 5.9 percent to 435 billion euros. More than 36 percent of German exports end up in the monetary union – more than twice as much as in the two largest economies USA and China together
. China and Russia
Sunk are on the other hand – for the first time since 1997 – exports to China. The country still remains one of the five largest buyers of German goods. Due to recession, oil price slump and Western sanctions shrink Russia’s economy and it was also here less exports. Experts expect only 2017 again a plus.
