The “healing the wounds” that would have added to the Greeks the aid packages and the austerity associated with it, have now a top priority, Tsipras said. Thousands of households who have been victims of this austerity would get free food and energy. Also, the minimum wage should be increased gradually.

Tsipras also announced the reopening of the public television channel ERT on. The decision of the previous Conservative government to close the station for cost reasons, had triggered outrage. With the re-commissioning of ERT would be “a crime against the Greek people and democracy” redressed, said the new government.

The balancing act between the repayment of the debt and the redemption of his campaign promises will Tsipras through a struggle against create corruption and tax evasion. Will scrutinize large foreign assets as a peculiarity. In addition, all contract awards on corruption would even investigated. The public sector should no longer serve the interests of the oligarchs, Tsipras said.

At the same time should be reduced government spending and benefits. The savings will be especially true for politicians: Benefits for ministers and MPs should be deleted and a plane of the head of government sold
